It is always best to eat your food in its whole, fresh, ripe, raw and preferably organic state but occasionally as a treat we like to mimic our favourite cooked foods or need some help with the transition from a standard cooked food diet to a diet higher in raw plant foods. The Dehydrator is a great way to create our favourite cooked foods without destroying the food of its vital nutrients and enzymes. On most of the dehydrators the temperature can be set. If it is set at no higher than 47′C it is still considered raw!
You are able to make yummy things like sprouted wheat crackers, the ‘raw food favourite’ flax seed crackers, sweet treats, vegetable chips and dried fruit as well as the more gourmet treats like pizza, falaffals and pastas and still enjoy the benefits of eating a raw food die.
